NCCI Has A New Phone System

The North Country Center for Independence (NCCI) is pleased to announce the implementation of a new phone system that will allow a live receptionist to answer incoming calls during business hours. This phone system further provides NCCI staff with the capability to respond to incoming calls from anywhere including the office, home, or anywhere in the community.

This technology uses Microsoft Teams and NCCI has invested heavily in cyber security via TwinState Technologies Inc. to ensure a safe and secure online and mobile digital environment. While staff has been trained in the use of this technology, there is no substitute for practice ... so we ask everyone to be patient with us as we learn and grow comfortable with the system.

Due to the pandemic, NCCI offices remain closed to the public except in rare pre-scheduled situations. Many of our staff are able to do field work under strict protocols that include social distancing, mask wearing, and sanitation procedures. The new phone system allows NCCI staff to perform video, audio, and text-based communications. We will be using this technology to conduct virtual events and meetings. The general public can use any type of communication device to contact us.

There are now two ways for people to contact NCCI staff. You can call the standard office number at (518) 563-9058 and speak to reception, who can then transfer you to appropriate staff, or you can call a staff member directly using the new direct phone numbers listed below. An auto-attendant will answer phones after hours and holidays. The usual list of extensions are also still active so you can leave voicemail messages.
