ACCES-VR Public Input Session - You’re Invited (Virtual)


Virtual Public Input Opportunity

The New York State Education Department’s Office of Adult Career and Continuing Education Services – Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) and the State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) invite you to a virtual public input session to share your feedback and help shape ACCES-VR’s section of New York State’s Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Combined State Plan.

 

We welcome individuals with disabilities, their families, advocates, service providers, employers, and businesses to share your positive experiences and suggestions on the key topics below.

 

How Can ACCES-VR:

Connect and provide services to underserved groups, including:

  • Rural areas, people of color, English language learners, foster care and justice involved youth, and low-income individuals.

  • Educate our customers about training opportunities that lead to valuable credentials.

  • Support businesses by hiring people with disabilities.

  • Reduce barriers that prevent individuals with disabilities from getting jobs or earning higher wages.

 

When:

Thursday, November 6th, 8:00am – 10:00am (Zoom)

Friday, November 7th, 12:00pm – 2:00pm (Zoom)

Wednesday, November 12th, 5:00pm-7:00pm (Zoom)
