Tell Congress to Stop the Illegal Dismantling of the Department of Education
The Administration has announced plans to move the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE) and the Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE) out of the Department of Education. This action is unlawful and would weaken essential civil rights protections and services that more than 7.5 million students with disabilities depend on.
These offices play an essential role in promoting inclusive education, enforcing accessibility requirements, and supporting students with disabilities across the country. Breaking them apart weakens these protections and will harm students who depend on them.
Congress needs to hear from you in TWO easy steps:

Dear
I am writing to tell you that I oppose the illegal transfer of OESE, OPE, and other programs out of the Department of Education. Congress must hold oversight hearings immediately and block attempts to dismantle or weaken the Department of Education. Students with disabilities must be protected and the IDEA must be upheld.
