Mentoring

Provide personal and career advice and support to a person with a disability. We're especially looking for volunteer mentors who have disabilities, and people from a variety of job and career fields. Flexible scheduling and commitment. Some training required.

Long Term Care
Ombudsman Program

Visit nursing facilities. Help residents and family members solve problems and improve safety, health, and quality of life. Weekly visits and reporting commitment. 36 hour training course required.

Radio Reading
Service

Read local newspapers and magazines for broadcast over a special radio frequency to people who can't read print due to visual impairment or other disabilities. Flexible scheduling and commitment.

Volunteer Assistance
Network

Provide transportation, shopping, housework, shoveling or yard work assistance to people with disabilities. Flexible scheduling and commitment.
