Technology & Adaptability

For many people with disabilites, a key component of their independence is tools and devices that help the user adapt to their particular disabilities. From low-tech products like velcro fasteners, long-stick grabbers, and easy-grip utensils, to high-tech ways for people with the most severe disabilities to control computers, vehicles, or an entire home ... there is hardly an impariment that can't be at least partially mitigated by a device designed for the purpose or adapted to it.
